Black isn't one color.
I painted Black Velvet as a study in black and white, using multiple blacks straight from the tube and allowing the differences between them to build the horse from darkness. Add white, change the light, and suddenly every black begins to speak it's own language.
Once you start looking, you'll never see black quite the same way again.
